Brown Treated Railway Sleepers (x60) | 1.2m X 200mm X 100mm

This pallet of brown-treated railway sleepers contains 60 sleepers measuring 1.2m x 200mm x 100mm each. These railway sleepers can be delivered nationwide using our pallet network courier or via crane within the South East of England.  We also offer a FREE Click & Collect service from our trade counter in Finchingfield, near Braintree in Essex.

Pressure-treated with a brown preservative, these softwood railway sleepers have an expected lifespan of around 8 to 10 years.  This treatment process ensures deep penetration of the wood preservative into the timber cells of the railway sleepers, offering long-lasting protection against fungal decay, insect attack and rot.  The tanalised railway sleepers have a brown colouration initially which will fade to a honey brown and finally to a silvery grey over time when exposed to the sun.  However, if you would prefer, these sleepers can be easily stained to suit your aesthetics with our .  It is also advised that this treatment is applied if the railway sleepers are cut – using a circular saw, chainsaw or handsaw – as newly exposed cut surfaces will otherwise be exposed.
